Low Cost Uncontested Divorce (Noncontested Divorce) in Vancouver, Washington and surrounding areas:

Our office is located at 1010 Esther Street, Vancouver, in Clark County, Washington. The first one-hour consultation in person or by telephone conference call is $195. If both parties need the mediation of all issues, the cost is $250.

If you are ready for us to handle your uncontested divorce or family law matter during that hour, the flat fee of $795 to $1,195 covers the consultation as well as finalizing the divorce.

If both parties are in agreement the attorney can meet with both of them to go over the law and process of family law in Washington, helping them negotiate the details of their agreement. If the attorney has met with both parties, she does not later represent one party in a contested case.

Filing Fee:

Dissolution and Separation Filing Fees are currently $314, unless waived by the court due to low income.

If both parties are not sure they are in agreement:

If it is not yet known whether the parties will agree, the attorney can meet with the requesting spouse who then conveys the information to the other party. If the matter becomes contested and the attorney has only agreed to discuss the case with one party, she can then represent that party in court at an hourly rate.

Filing Documents and Entering Documents at the courthouse:

We attend all court hearings and file all documents in a flat fee uncontested divorce and family law case. There is a mandatory 90 day mandatory waiting period in Washington. The 90 days begins to run when the petition is filed so long as both parties have already signed and dated the petition. The 90 days runs the later of filing the petition and service on the responding party. Parties are invited to attend court at the end of the 90 day waiting period but it is not required so long as they have both signed the petition and the petitioner has signed a declaration.
